Our Technology
Virtual Studio Construction Program

1.2 VR, AR and MR
(1) VR (Virtual Reality): The combination of virtual and display. VR is a computer simulation system that can create and experience virtual worlds. It creates a perfectly immersive 100% virtual world through sensor input. The multi-sensory and interactive nature of VR technology makes it popular with many people.
(2) AR (Augmented Reality): AR technology enables a skillful fusion of virtual information and the real world. The two types of information complement each other, thereby enabling an “enhancement” of the real world. Virtual images take reality as the main body and are superimposed. It uses multimedia, three-dimensional modeling, real-time tracking, intelligent interaction, and other technical means.
(3) MR (Mixed Reality): This technology presents an information loop of interactive feedback between the real world, the virtual world, and the user. Presenting virtual scene information in the reality scene contributes to enhancing the realism of the user experience. Simply put, MR is a new visual environment after the fusion of real and virtual worlds.

Hollywood Golden Lion’s U.S. Virtual Production Infrastructure Initiative
— Strategic Plan to Support Independent Filmmakers and SMEs in Building Virtual Production Capabilities
As the global film industry enters a new phase of intelligent and virtualized production, virtual production technologies are rapidly emerging as foundational infrastructure for the digital content economy. In response to this trend, Hollywood Golden Lion Animation (HGLA), leveraging its leadership in XR studio systems, LED visual effects, and AI-assisted production, officially launched the “Virtual Studio Support and SME Incubation Plan” in the United States in 2025.
This initiative focuses on empowering independent creators and small-to-medium-sized production entities with the tools, capital, and knowledge needed to establish professional-grade virtual studios, thereby accelerating a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable ecosystem for North American media production.
I. Background and Strategic Significance
Against the backdrop of industry demand for cost-efficient, immersive content creation, traditional green screen and location-based filming methods are increasingly limited. Independent studios and SME filmmakers often face structural barriers, including limited access to financing, technology, and distribution channels.
This initiative seeks to:
-
Bridge the technological gap between major studios and emerging creators;
-
Enable decentralized infrastructure development in regional creative economies;
-
Establish regional “Smart Film Production Innovation Hubs” in the U.S.;
-
Strengthen U.S.–China collaboration in film production technologies and digital platforms.
II. Program Structure and Key Components
Acting as a technology platform, financial enabler, and ecosystem operator, Hollywood Golden Lion will deliver a comprehensive service system with five core pillars:
1. Modular XR Virtual Studio Integration
Providing scalable and standardized XR studio solutions based on LED display systems, camera tracking, real-time rendering (e.g., Unreal Engine), motion capture, and volumetric lighting. Clients can select light or advanced configurations depending on their production needs, achieving rapid on-site deployment.
2. Dedicated SME Financing Mechanism
In partnership with U.S. film funds, commercial banks, and venture capital groups, HGLA will launch a “Virtual Studio Financing Channel” offering:
-
Low-interest construction loans for independent studios;
-
Equipment leasing and installment purchase options;
-
Revenue-based lending and IP pre-sale support.
This mechanism is designed to lower entry barriers and improve capital access for creative startups.
3. XR Talent Development and Certification
In collaboration with universities, film institutes, and industry associations, HGLA will establish the Golden Lion Virtual Production Academy, offering:
-
Technical workshops (XR pipelines, lighting, camera tracking);
-
Studio operations and project management courses;
-
Remote learning platforms with professional certification pathways.
4. Global Content Co-Creation and Distribution
Selected projects will be eligible for incubation through HGLA’s global content platform, with access to:
-
Major streaming networks (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+);
-
Distribution opportunities in Asian markets, including China;
-
Entry into major international animation and children’s film festivals.
5. Regional Cluster Development
Initial pilot clusters will be developed in Greater Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Austin, supported by local government incentives, land resources, and creative labor pools. The goal is to form interconnected innovation ecosystems of SMEs operating under a Production-as-a-Service (PaaS) model, standardizing digital film infrastructure deployment.
III. Projected Impact and Long-Term Vision
Within the next five years, this initiative is projected to:
-
Enable over 100 SME production companies to adopt XR capabilities;
-
Train and deploy 3,000+ XR technical professionals;
-
Establish at least 5 regional virtual production clusters;
-
Deepen U.S.–China cooperation in standards, equipment, content, and platforms;
-
Offer a replicable “Golden Lion Model” for virtual production transformation globally.
Hollywood Golden Lion remains committed to an open, collaborative, and scalable approach—delivering a practical, impactful, and future-forward solution for the digital evolution of global cinema.
